Our Massachusetts office has been keeping busy with various ongoing subsurface utility engineering (SUE) projects in the northeast. From designating utilities and subsurface obstructions through quality level B (QL-B) mapping, to concrete scanning and test pit clearance surveys, our ground penetrating radar (GPR & 3DGPR) and electromagnetic induction (EMI) systems provide detailed results to clients.

GPR and EMI techniques help determine the location and approximate depth of utilities and obstructions. Moreover, using these techniques in conjunction with one another delivers higher confidence results than with either method alone.

Completion of such surveys provides our clients with preliminary mark-outs and CADD compatible plan-view maps, establishing a more comprehensive foundation for planning efforts.
