When mapping utilities in the complex built environment, it is important to have the proper tools and expertise. Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) is the process of mapping the utilities under your feet safely, before you dig. Complex distribution systems being utilized daily by millions can be hard to track, but geophysical tools like electromagnetic induction (EMI) and ground penetrating radar (GPR), among others, allow Infrasense to uncover their locations. EMI facilitates the direct tracking of specified lines, while GPR provides a more comprehensive look into multiple targets with each pass. Our results are used by designers, planners, and construction teams alike to complete projects while avoiding subsurface interruptions.
