When evaluating the condition and structural properties of tunnel elements, like liners, walls, and decks, we utilize various nondestructive scanning technologies including ground penetrating radar (GPR), infrared thermography (IR), and high-resolution imaging (HRI) to provide a full coverage scan. This helps identify conditions like concrete deterioration, voids, evidence of moisture ingress, rebar cover and spacing, spalling, and cracking.

Depending on the project-specific goals, targeted methods like impact-echo (IE) and rebound hammer (RH), as well as physical sampling help to collect data at more discrete points often selected based on the comprehensive scanning results. Our results provide highly accurate condition and as-built data used by clients to maximize tunnel preservation and rehabilitation efforts.
