Infrasense recently completed an evaluation of a concrete tunnel connecting buildings belonging to a major medical facility in Massachusetts. The tunnel structure and condition were evaluated using ground penetrating radar (GPR) and hammer sounding. The GPR data will be analyzed to determine various structural properties, including rebar layout and depth, wall and ceiling thickness, and locating the presence of any deterioration within the concrete. Upon completion of the data collection and analysis, plan-view maps will be provided to the client for further rehabilitation planning.
