Infrasense recently surveyed multiple runways, a taxiway, and a 240,000 square-foot apron at the San Francisco International Airport. The survey implemented a combination of 400 MHz and 1 GHz antennas mounted off the back of the survey vehicle. The use of both frequencies provided an excellent combination of data resolution and depth of penetration to capture all layers of asphalt and base material. The runways and taxiway data were collected along multiple offsets to provide a comprehensive assessment of the pavement structure along the area of interest.
