Infrasense is a client-focused consulting firm specializing in the nondestructive evaluation (NDE) of bridge decks, pavements, tunnels, parking structures, and other transportation infrastructure.
Founded in 1987 with the support from National Science Foundation (NSF) SBIR grants, Infrasense has since delivered NDE consulting and testing services using ground penetrating radar, infrared thermography, seismic and vibration methods, impact echo, ultrasonic testing, imaging, and image processing.
We’ve completed projects in all 50 U.S. states and internationally across Canada, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Backed by more than 160 years of collective experience, our team delivers highly accurate, actionable data to support cost-effective, network-level assessments and project-specific maintenance decisions–continuously refined through ongoing research and development.

Our Founder
Ken Maser, Ph.D., P.E.
Ken Maser is an internationally recognized leader in nondestructive evaluation and subsurface condition assessment. He holds two U.S. patents and has pioneered techniques now widely used in bridge and pavement evaluations.
Ken’s work spans large-scale infrastructure assessments and strategic consulting roles, including for the Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP). He has led validation studies on the accuracy of NDE methods and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. Ken has also delivered customized training and workshops for state DOTs and private sector teams.
